About Children ’s Hospital Boston

Children’s Hospital Boston, located in Boston, Massachusetts has a long tradition of excellence in research. Over the years, these research efforts have led to new and improved treatments for a number of diseases.

Clinical research is conducted in outpatient clinics, in the inpatient Clinical Research Center (CRC) located on the 7th floor of the main hospital and in the Center for Ambulatory Treatment and Clinical Research (CAT/CR) located on the fourth floor of the Farley Building.

Especially Needed

Individuals with active AD or who have outgrown AD and also have a history of widespread herpes virus skin infection (also called eczema herpeticum), molluscum contagiosum (pearly wart-like skin lesions), or eczema vaccinatum (adverse reaction to smallpox vaccination).

Even though we are enrolling people regardless of race and ethnicity, we have a special need to enroll African Americans in these studies because African Americans may be at a greater risk.  This risk may be related to a different genetic background.
